If you have requested a peer-review of your article, please make sure that you have registered, paid the conference fee, and submitted your full paper by April 5, 2016 using the standard format to be found below. To submit your paper, go to your previous EasyChair submission (click) and select ‘add or update files’. An extensive EasyChair manual can be found here.
IPHS welcomes contributions that investigate urban form, urban visions, comprehensive planning, adaptive design, governance structures or policy making as related to danger, destruction and re-building in the modern era. This includes research on physical rebuilding, as well as economic restructuring, governance, and related social, ethnic, migratory, religious, and issues and implications. Proposals on other topics relevant to the modern history of urban, regional and environmental planning are welcome as well.
We encourage papers with a comparative and cross-disciplinary ap-proach by historians, academic and practicing planners, geographers, environmentalists, preservationists, public policy makers, and graduate students.
- Abstracts for papers and panel proposals are due 5 January, 2016
- Decisions on proposals no later than 5 February, 2016.
- Adjusted abstract should be updated via easychair before March 1, 2016.
- Full paper submitted for peer review by 5 April 2016.
- Review comments by 5 May 2016.
- Submission of final papers for publication 1 June 2016.
Only peer-reviewed papers by presenters attending the conference will be included in the conference proceedings. Each speaker and session chair must register and establish membership in IPHS 2016 by April 5th, to show their commitment for the 2016 conference and are required to pay the conference registration fee.
There are no refunds after 1 June. Please note that authors who take advantage of the benefits of the peer-review process for the full paper can claim a 50% reimbursement before June 1st, and no reimbursement at all after June 1st, if their paper is rejected or not revised sufficiently, as the organisers have incurred costs in conjunction with the peer-review process. However, authors whose abstracts have been accepted can still present their papers and will have their abstracts included in the proceedings.
